I recieved my Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology and Psychology from the University of Kansas in 1993, and I earned a Bachelors of Science in Education in 1997. I am an ardent Jayhawk basketball fan and love my alma mater. My classroom is littered with pictures of the Jayhawk team and their players that have gone on to have NBA careers. I have been a full time teacher in the Bay Area since 1998. I have taught in schools in Santa Rosa, Vallejo, Richmond, and San Lorenzo. I teach Social Sciences and Language Arts. I live in Berkeley with my wife and two young children. We enjoy going to the local farmer's markets and taking our kids to the numerous parks in the area. I regularly take classes at the local colleges to give me new ideas and ways to better teach English and Language arts. I am currently taking a Drawing and Composition class and a Poetry writing class. I take many of the lessons and concepts I learn in my Berkeley City College classes and teach them to my Royal Sunset students.
